What Size Landmine Bar Do You Need?
Length is the decision. Weight is the second one. Our lineup runs from 15.5 lb at 77 in up to 43 lb at 94.1 in, and every bar in it loads to 550 lb and fits standard 2-inch landmine sleeves. So capacity and fit are not what you are choosing between. You are choosing how much reach you want through a press and how heavy the bar is before you add a plate.

Start with length, not weight
A landmine bar pivots at one end. That means the arc your hands travel through is set by how far you are from the pivot, and length is what sets it. We get asked for a weight first and it is the second question, not the first.
A shorter bar keeps the working end closer, so the path is tighter and the bar comes up steeper. A longer bar puts you further out, the arc is wider, and a press travels further before it finishes. Neither is correct. They are different ranges of motion, and which one you want depends on the movements you actually run and how much floor you have.
Our five sizes are 77 in, 78.4 in, 87 in, and two at 94.1 in. For reference, the IWF men's competition specification for a standard barbell is 86.6 in, so the Velencia at 87 in sits right about at that familiar length, and the two flagship-length bars are meaningfully longer than a bar most people have handled.
Then weight, because it is your floor
The bar's own weight is the lightest that movement can ever be. That matters more on a landmine than on a rack, because a lot of landmine work is single-arm, rotational or done for reps, and the bar alone is already the load for some of it.
The spread across the lineup is real: 15.5 lb, 25 lb, 34 lb, 37 lb and 43 lb. That is nearly 28 lb between the lightest and heaviest before a single plate goes on.
If you are programming high-rep or single-arm work for athletes who are still building, the lighter end gives you somewhere to start. If your work is heavy and two-handed, we would not call a heavier bar a penalty. It is the first plate you do not have to load.
What each size is for
Here is our own breakdown, bar by bar.
Fresh Bar, 15.5 lb, 77 in, 25 mm grip, $379. Youth athletes, rehab, beginners, high-rep work.
Melo Bar, 25 lb, 78.4 in, 25 mm grip, $389. Speed work, agility, youth athletes, light conditioning.
Velencia Bar, 34 lb, 87 in, 25 mm grip, $409. Most athletes, general training, home gyms.
Spann Bar 2 Hybrid, 37 lb, 94.1 in, 25 mm grip, $409. Athletes who want full reach with a lighter bar: flagship length, 25 mm grip.
Spann Bar, 43 lb, 94.1 in, 28.5 mm grip, $419. The flagship. Advanced lifters, heavy landmine work, commercial gyms.
Two of those are worth reading next to each other. The Hybrid and the Spann Bar are the same length at 94.1 in. What separates them is 6 lb and the grip: 25 mm against 28.5 mm. So if you want the full reach of the flagship without the heaviest bar or the thickest handle, that is the one the difference exists for.
Grip diameter is a smaller decision than people expect
Four of the five are 25 mm. The Spann Bar is 28.5 mm.
For reference, the IWF men's competition specification is 28 mm, so the flagship sits just above that and the rest of the lineup is thinner than a standard men's bar. A thinner handle is easier to hold for high-rep and single-arm work where your grip gives out before the target muscle does. A thicker one fills the hand on heavy pulls.
If you are genuinely torn, this is not the variable to decide on. Pick the length and the weight first and let the grip follow.
What does not change between sizes
Three things are the same across our whole lineup, which removes them from the decision.
Capacity is 550 lb on every size. Fit is standard 2-inch landmine sleeves, which is the spec on virtually every landmine attachment, corner setup and rack-mounted landmine, and no adapters are needed. The build is heavy-duty steel with an electrophoretic black paint finish, with a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
So a lighter bar is not a weaker bar here. The Fresh Bar at 15.5 lb takes the same 550 lb as the flagship.
What you need alongside it is a landmine attachment, sleeve-mounted, rack-mounted or corner, and standard Olympic plates. That is the whole setup.
Picking one
If you are outfitting a gym and buying one bar, start with the Velencia: its length is the closest to the barbell most people have already used.
Outfitting for younger athletes or high-rep conditioning, start lighter. Going into heavy two-handed work or onto a commercial floor, the flagship is what we built for that. Want the flagship's reach without its weight or handle thickness, and the Hybrid is the one that difference exists for.
And the reason any of this is a conversation about sizes rather than about adapters. The first and only patent-approved barbell designed for landmine sleeve attachment.

Common questions
- What size landmine bar do I need?
- Decide on length first, because length sets the arc your hands travel through. The lineup runs 77 in, 78.4 in, 87 in and two at 94.1 in. Then weight, which is the lightest that movement can ever be: 15.5 lb, 25 lb, 34 lb, 37 lb and 43 lb. The Velencia at 34 lb and 87 in sits closest to the length most people have handled.
- Will it fit my landmine attachment?
- Yes. Every size fits standard 2-inch landmine sleeves, which is the spec on virtually every landmine attachment, corner setup and rack-mounted landmine. No adapters. Besides the bar you need the attachment itself, sleeve-mounted, rack-mounted or corner, and standard Olympic plates.
- Is a lighter bar weaker?
- No. Capacity is 550 lb on every size, so the 15.5 lb Fresh Bar takes the same load as the 43 lb flagship. All five are heavy-duty steel with an electrophoretic black paint finish and carry a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. The weight difference is about where your loading starts, not about how much the bar will hold.
- What is the difference between the Spann Bar and the Spann Bar 2 Hybrid?
- They are the same length, 94.1 in. The Spann Bar is 43 lb with a 28.5 mm grip; the Hybrid is 37 lb with a 25 mm grip. So the Hybrid is for someone who wants the flagship's full reach with a lighter bar and a thinner handle.
